This year events brings together families and friends to help spread holiday joy and get the Christmas season going with lights and more!

Come on down for festive fun, food, drinks, seasonal entertainment, and attractions throughout the park, including complimentary admission to ALLBalboa Park museums from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.

This is the largest free community event in all of San Diego, and we are expecting nearly 375,000 visitors to the park to help us ring in the Christmas season.

Come to the convention where the cars are the stars!!!

Featuring an immense variety of cars, over 400 cars from 30+ Global MAnufactureres, The San Diego International Auto Show is not to be missed.

Here you can be the first in the United States to see more than 20 debuts of newly unveiled vehicles new to the public this year, as well as the new 2019 models and booths featuring the newest technology to enhance your driving experience.

This year’s show also features family entertainment and interactive activities.

Wawanesa Exotics Vault

At over 15,000 sqft and featuring some spectacular automobiles, the Wawanesa Exotics Vault continues to be one of our most popular attractions. Jaw-dropping cars from Maserati, Aston Martin, Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini and more are on display (click through the slide show below for a sample of vehicles on display). These finely crafted automobiles are provided by Ferrari/Maserati of San Diego, Aston Martin San Diego, and McLaren Newport Beach, as well as private owners. Note: Manufacturer participation, vehicles and features subject to change without notice.

Family Day

Don’t miss Family Day—Sunday, December 30th, when kids 12 and under get in FREE with a paid adult. Attendees will enjoy a variety of fun activities designed for the entire family, including superhero appearances (11am-4pm), plus other family-focused fun.

Free pairs of tickets for Family Day (while supplies last) will be available in December!

Test Drives

Nearly 80 of the latest models from Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Jeep, Kia, Lincoln, Mazda, Nissan, Ram, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen will be available for test drives can be found in the front drive of the convention center near ticketing and in a giant waterfront lot behind the center.

Think Blue Eco-Center

SDG&E presents The Think Blue Eco-Center featuring all the electric, plug-in hybrid, standard hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and technologies that will help lead to a greener tomorrow.

Nissan Military Appreciation

A limited number of free tickets are available to active military and veterans with a special ticket promotion at participating San Diego Nissan dealers.

Come see more than 80 boats lavishly decorated boast sailing by the shores and participating in one of San Diego’s most time honored traditions.

The parade route is from Shelter Island past Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Pier at Cesar Chavez Park and the Ferry Landing in Coronado.

The parade takes approximately one hour to one and a half hours to pass any given point along the parade route. The approximate arrival time of the parade at various locations are:


Shelter Island (start of parade): 5:00 PM
Harbor Island: 5:30 PM
The Embarcadero: 6:00 PM
Seaport Village: 6:30 PM
The Pier at Cesar Chavez Park: 6:45 PM
Ferry Landing on Coronado: 7:00 PM

Best Viewing Locations

Viewing from the water? Float where the parade turns west to Coronado, near the 10th Street Terminal.

Viewing from land? Try the north and south ends of the Embarcadero, as well as the pathway along Coronado, the park behind Seaport Village, Harbor Island, Shelter Island and the pier at Cesar Chavez Park. Get there early as parking fills up FAST!!!
