It’s the 4th of July in San Diego and that means that it is time for the Big Bay Boom Fireworks spectacular. This truly is one of the most impressive fireworks displays in the entire country as the show has fireworks discharged simultaneously from multiple barges placed strategically around the Bay off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Embarcadero North, Seaport Village, Embarcadero South Marina Park and Coronado Ferry Landing. The impeccably choreographed display will last approximately 17 minutes.
The fireworks score is simulcast live on THE MIGHTY 1090 AM and MAX FM 105.7.

San Diego Comic Con is the original and largest comic and pop culture event in the United States. Literally thousands of fans, celebrities, artists, and vendors come together for a four day celebration of the popular arts and all things geeky.
Bust out your best cosplay and stroll the convetion floor if you were lucky enough to get tickets (which require pre-registration and still sell out in under 15 mins), or stroll around the party as it spills out into San Diego’s historic Gaslamp District.
Comic Con features panels, seminars, and workshops with comic book professionals, there are previews of upcoming feature films, portfolio review sessions with top comic book and video game companies, and such evening events as awards ceremonies and the Masquerade; a costume contest, and the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival, which showcases shorts and feature length movies that do not have distribution or distribution deals.
Exhibitors include movie studios and TV networks, comic-book dealers and collectibles merchants. There is also an autograph area, as well as the Artists’ Alley where comics artists can sign autographs and sell or do free sketches.
This massive event only happens once a year and it is not to be missed!

Supergirl Surf Pro 2018

Head on up to Oceanside to watch The world’s top professional female surfers tear up the surf in the 11th Supergirl Surf Pro.
This will be an entire weekend jam-packed with world-class surfing competition that will have you hanging ten.
An experience for all ages, the Supergirl Pro Festival Village includes autograph signings, various vendors and activities, give-aways, contests, celebrities, skateboarding, DJ’s, art, hair styling, fashion, live music, fitness, dance, yoga, sustainability, seminars, speakers, great food, a beer and wine garden and so much more!
Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the event weekend to include free concerts from 16 top music artists, a female skateboarding contest, a female DJ competition, the only female-driven multi-title esports tournament in the U.S., a Celebrity Surf Invitational, fitness classes, Zumba classes, free yoga instruction, fashion, speed art, inspirational speakers and more.
