Gray Whale Migration Winter/Spring 2018

Did you know that over 20,000 gray whales migrate annually from the Bering Sea in the summer, to the Baja California lagoons in the winter?
This is the longest mass migration of any marine mammal, with a total travel distance of over 13,000 miles and now is the best time of year to catch a glimpse of these amazing creatures up close as they pass by San Diego.
Bring the whole family, and enjoy an experience of a lifetime while taking views of these majestic creatures and some of the most breathtaking views of the California coast to be found anywhere.
Julian Woman’s Club Wildflower Show
Friday 5/4 – Sunday 5/6

On May 4th through the 6th, the Julian Woman’s Club will be hosting their 91st annual Wildflower Show in the historical Town Hall in Julian in San Diego’s East County.
With Julian’s mountain valley location, and close proximity to both the national forest and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, it is home to 855 species of plants. The annual Wildflower Show is meant to educate all in attendance about the botanical wealth of Julian and the surrounding area.
Club members will spend two days gathering wildflowers from five local plant zones, and display the wildflowers Julian Town Hall. The flowers are arranged on tables correlating to the different geographical areas in which they can be found, and display cards are provided with the name of the plant and it’s prescribed uses by Native Americans.
Rhythm & Brews Craft Beer Festival
12pm – 4pm

It is time once again for the The Rhythm & Brews Music and Craft Beer Festival.
This annual event is complete with amazing music from local musicians and local craft beers from more than 50 of the most renowned breweries from San Diego County and other vibrant craft beer regions around the country.
San Diego is the birthplace of some of our industry’s most respected brewers and home to more than 130 craft breweries thus earning it the title “Capital of Craft.” Come by, enjoy the tunes and some of the best craft beer Southern California has to offer.

Born 14 years ago on a cold Dublin night, The Celtic Women’s Concert has blossomed into an singular musical experience that is not to be missed.
Featuring performers with exceptionally talented and trained Irish female musicians singing some of the most uplifting music in the world, this show is almost indescribable and truly has to be experienced to be appreciated.
The Celtic Women will be gracing San Diego this May, be sure not to miss it, as “Homecoming” represents the next chapter of their extraordinary musical journey.
San Diego Taco Fest

Food, music, and cultural celebration all collide at The San Diego Taco Fest here in San Diego, America’s Finest City.
Come down and enjoy some of the regions best tacos from thirty of the region’s best restaurants.
The day will also include incredible live musical performances from locally and nationally known artists, Lucha Libre wrestling, and even a Chihuahuas beauty pageant and a race.

The USS Midway Museum is the heart and soul of San Diego’s Memorial Day celebration.
Activities will include a Wreath Memorial ceremony, benefit concert, family activities, blood drive, interactive exhibits, and much, much more.
Each and very event of the Midway’s Legacy Week commemoration is designed to honor and remember our heroes and celebrate our military heritage.
