It also has R-39 insulation in the attic and double pane glass. Combining this with the 8 to 10-inch-thick walls makes the “heat pump” heating and air-conditioning system almost unnecessary. When you are viewing the house, you will notice that even with the A/C unit off, the house is still not oppressively hot in the summer or cold in the winter. This, of course, keeps the electric bills very small indeed. The plumbing fixtures in the bath and kitchen are the original 1920’s creations. It is interesting to note that all of the mechanical parts for these fixtures are still the same as are used in modern fixtures. The style changed, but the mechanics remained the same. The bath also has a wonderful shower! People have lived and loved in this house for a great many years, and now it is time for New People to be amazed and enhanced by it!
